It's encouraging...

| iShares Cup 2009 - Hyères TPM, from 3rd to 5th July 2009 |
| Once again, Franck Cammas says it perfectly. Unable to get ahead of his rivals, the skipper of Groupama 40 has managed, together
with his crew, to put into practice the desire he expressed on shore prior to leaving the quay: "We are still much to irregular
during the start phases to stand a chance of playing for outright victory. However, we've seen that when we start well, we
are up to par. Our two second places in the last races prove that".

By finishing fifth in the general ranking, as we did in Venice, but just one point behind Gitana, the crew of Groupama 40
confirm they're making headway: "The crew is working well and the atmosphere aboard is excellent. We remain concentrated
even in the difficult moments like during one of today's races where we received a penalty which I found debatable. It remains
that in relation to our competitors who have been training throughout the winter, we have some work to do" continues
the skipper of Groupama 40.

With a total of nineteen races disputed, the iShares Cup in Hyères has been a great success, both in sporting terms
as well as the popularity stakes, given the numerous spectators on the harbour walls admiring the spectacle. Dominated by
Oman Masirah which took victory with a ten point lead over BMW Oracle and twenty six over its stable mate Oman
Renaissance skippered by Loïck Peyron, this iShares Cup confirms the domination of five crews who have been at the top
of the table since the start of the season. With some second places in Venice and in Hyères, the American crew driven by James
Spithill is at the head of the general ranking ahead of the two Oman boats, Gitana Extreme and Groupama 40.
The next
stage in the circuit, Cowes in early August, is already promising to be full on. With or without Franck Cammas, that
is the question given that from Tuesday 7th July, the maxi trimaran Groupama 3 will be officially on standby in New York
in an attempt to break the North Atlantic crossing record once again. As such, if there's a good weather window at the same
time, as was the case in Venice, it'll be Gildas Philippe who replaces the skipper of Groupama.
