Stan Honey - © Yvan ZeddaAt 52 years of age, Stan Honey will be the most senior member on the boat. Graduating in engineering from the prestigious American Universities of Yale, Stanford and the Maritime Institute of Technology, he is one of the most highly awarded sailors in the world with a score of Atlantic and 24 hour records aboard Playstation, as well as victory in the last edition of the Volvo Ocean Race aboard ABN AMRO.

A great size mirrored by a great talent

Part of the crew onboard Groupama 3 during the Atlantic record attempt this summer, Stan Honey is going to have to melt into the French crew. A professional from head to toe, the Yankee has spent some time in France with Sylvain Mondon and Franck Cammas, studying the several tens of circumnavigations of the globe in order to equip himself with the same language and culture as them. With his great size mirrored by his great talent, the man with 51 patents in the media and television domain will be keen to beat this record in memory of his friend, Steve Fossett.
